Vehicle Description

Overview
The all-new 2025 Acura ADX is the first small crossover from the premium brand. When it hits the market early next year, it will be Acura’s smallest and most affordable SUV, joining the larger Acura RDX, all-electric ZDX, and three-row MDX in the lineup. Acura’s timing is looking good. The small premium SUV class is blowing up with the growing popularity of the Audi Q3, BMW X1, Volvo XC40, Lexus UX, and Mercedes-Benz GLB. Acura hasn’t yet released many details about the ADX, but it’s expected to share its basic size, chassis, and body structure with the Honda HR-V. This is because Acura is part of American Honda and most of its models share a platform with a Honda model. These twins under the skin include the Acura Integra and Honda Civic, Acura RDX and Honda CR-V, and Acura MDX and Honda Pilot. Many share engines as well, and we expect the ADX to be powered by Honda’s smooth and refined turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine and continuously variable automatic transmission. This combination is found under the hood of several models, including the Honda Accord, Civic, Integra, and CR-V. Disappointingly, a hybrid or all-electric version of the ADX is not expected, at least not in the first year of production. Acura's all-wheel-drive system will be available. We also like Acura’s sporty design language and expect the ADX to keep the brand’s current styling theme that blends curves with hard edges and oversized wheels and tires. We also expect a sporty interior design, much like the Integra’s, with a 9-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a premium Bang & Olufsen audio system.
Positives
Turbocharged engine with approximately 200 horsepower. More affordable than Acura’s other SUVs. Strong brand reputation for quality and reliability.

Considerations
No hybrid version expected. Won’t go on sale until early next year.

Verdict
With turbocharged power, plus sporty styling and high build quality, the all-new 2025 Acura ADX will be popular with buyers looking for a fun-to-drive premium small SUV.

What's New for 2025
The Acura ADX compact crossover is an all-new model.
Trims and Pricing
Acura has not yet announced the different trim levels for the 2025 ADX, but we expect it to follow a similar trim structure as the larger Acura RDX. That SUV is available in five trim levels: Standard, Technology Package, A-Spec Package, Advance Package, and A-Spec Advance Package. Pricing should come in between the $32,995 Acura Integra and the larger Acura RDX, which has a base price of $45,700. All-wheel drive should be available.

If Acura sticks to its playbook, the A-Spec models will feature larger wheels, distinctive exterior styling cues such as blacked-out exterior trim, LED fog lights, a sport-tuned suspension, quicker steering, stainless-steel pedals, red interior accent stitching, and a leather-wrapped shifter knob. The ADX should also match the Integra’s standard features, which include imitation leather seats, heated front seats, an eight-way power-adjustable driver's seat, keyless access with push-button start, a manually adjustable tilt-and-telescopic leather-wrapped steering wheel, a 10.2-inch digital driver's display, heated side mirrors, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, interior ambient lighting, and a tilt-and-slide moonroof.

Engine and Performance
Under the hood, the 2025 Acura ADX is expected to come standard with the same turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine and continuously variable automatic transmission that powers the Acura Integra and Honda CR-V. In the Integra the engine produces 200 horsepower and 192 pound-feet of torque, but it’s detuned in the Honda to 190 hp and 179 lb-ft. We don’t yet know which version of the engine will power the ADX. Either way it’s one of our favorite turbo fours, with smooth operation, spunky response, and plenty of low-end torque. The Integra accelerates to 60 mph in about 7 seconds and the CR-V gets there in over 8 seconds. The ADX will probably split the difference, matching the acceleration of the Audi Q3. The more powerful BMW X1 is considerably quicker, hitting 60 mph in about 5.5 seconds. We expect the ADX to come with front-wheel drive and available all-wheel drive. Acura’s SUVs have always handled well without compromising daily comfort, especially when equipped with Acura's Super Handling All-Wheel-Drive system, which is one of the best in the business.
Fuel Economy
The Environmental Protection Agency has not yet rated the 2025 Acura ADX. However, we expect the compact SUV to be powered by the same 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine and automatic transmission that’s used in the Acura Integra and Honda CR-V. The smaller front-wheel-drive Integra is rated 30 mpg during city driving and 37 mpg on the highway. With all-wheel drive, the larger CR-V earns 29 mpg in combined driving.

The standard Audi Q3 is rated to return 22 mpg during city driving and 29 mpg on the highway. The more powerful version is rated at 21/28 mpg city/highway. The most fuel efficient BMW X1 all-wheel-drive model is 5 mpg better on the highway. The all-wheel-drive Volvo XC40 is rated at 24/30 mpg city highway, while the Mercedes-Benz GLB returns 24/32 mpg.

Interior
On the inside, the new Acura ADX is likely to combine the sporty, upscale design we like in the Acura Integra with the cabin space of the Honda HR-V. We expect a modern and attractive dash layout, decorated with mesh vent trim similar to that in the Integra. We also expect a conventional PRNDL shift lever instead of a push-button design, a roomy console with a pair of cupholders, and a wireless phone charger. Acura is known for its quality, so the fit and finish of the ADX's interior should be top notch.

Packaging will be similar to HR-V with a low cowl and thin windshield pillars for good forward visibility. The ADX will seat five, and offer about the same interior space as the Volvo XC40, Audi Q3, and BMW X1.

We also expect HR-V-like cargo space, which is 24.4 cubic feet behind the rear seats and 55.1 cubic feet with the back row folded down. The Q3 has a maximum of 48 cubic feet, while the X1 and XC40 offer 57.2 and 57.5 cubic feet, respectively.

Infotainment and Connectivity
Acura’s infotainment systems have been hit or miss over the years, but recent models have been easier to use. The new Acura ADX will likely get the same intuitive setup as the Acura Integra, which features a 9-inch touchscreen and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. This is a good thing as the Acura TLX and Acura RDX still use a distracting and jumpy remote-touch interface.

The rival Volvo XC40 also comes standard with a 9-inch display, while the Audi Q3 offers a larger 10.1-inch infotainment screen, and the BMW X1 offers a 10.7-inch infotainment touchscreen.

As on Integra, we expect the ADX’s system to be simple to operate with a large analog volume knob and a pair of hard tuning buttons at the lower-left corner of the screen for easy driver interaction on the fly. The system should also have voice control.

Like the all-electric Acura ZDX and the updated 2025 [Acura MDX] (/overview/acura/mdx/), the new ADX will likely offer a premium Bang & Olufsen audio system.

Safety
The 2025 Acura ADX has not yet been rated by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) or the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). However, we do expect Acura’s newest SUV to receive the industry’s highest overall safety ratings because it will likely share its chassis and structure with the Honda HR-V, which has earned a five-Star rating from NHTSA and a Top Safety Pick+ rating from IIHS.

All Acura models get the AcuraWatch suite of active safety and driver-assist technologies, which includes a collision-mitigation braking system, forward-collision warning, a road-departure mitigation system that incorporates lane departure warning, plus lane-keeping assist and adaptive cruise control. We also expect the ADX to feature blind-spot warning.
